Hyundai’s New Rewards Program Could Get You $400 off a New Model
The free three-tier program offers discounts for new Hyundai vehicles and savings on BlueLink connected services.
Hyundai’s new three-tier rewards program offers customers discounts on its vehicles and connected services.
Rewards include up to $300 off a new gas-powered model, up to $400 off a new EV, and as much as 60 percent off a BlueLink subscription.
After owners create a free MyHyundai account, rewards are earned by using remote services, buying or leasing a Hyundai vehicle, and other activities.
If you own a Hyundai, you could benefit from a new rewards program that could save you up to $400. And the best part is you don’t have to pay a penny to join. Hyundai owners simply have to create a MyHyundai account to take advantage of the automaker’s new program, which features three tiers that unlock discounts for new vehicle purchases and savings on connected services.
Those who sign up will automatically start in the base-level Silver tier. This immediately makes them eligible for 50 percent off BlueLink Connected Car and Remote services. Also, being in the Silver squad means you’re eligible for a $250 discount if you buy a new Hyundai EV.
Achieving Gold and Blue status means even more potential savings. For instance, Gold increases the new EV discount to $300, and if you buy a Hyundai with an internal-combustion engine (ICE), you can save $250. Reaching Blue status raises the EV discount to $400, the ICE discount to $300, and you only have to pay 40 percent of a BlueLink subscription (60 percent off).
While other automakers offer rewards programs that use a point system, Hyundai’s program does not. It also doesn’t require a credit check. So, how do you move up the ladder and unlock rewards? Hyundai says this can be done through a variety of activities during a calendar year, such as completing scheduled maintenance visits or using BlueLink features (pay for a subscription, use the car’s remote services, use the car’s digital key). Other ways include buying or leasing a new or certified pre-owned Hyundai model and completing a recall.
“We wanted to create a program that felt interactive and made owning a Hyundai feel more rewarding,” said Michel Poirer, vice president of aftersales and customer experience for Hyundai Motor America.
