Amanda Holden stunned by Simon Cowell’s “dangerous” Britain’s Got Talent stunt
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has teased a “dangerous” stunt that was undertaken by co-star Simon Cowell.
The ITV show is due to return soon with its 18th season, with another set of candidates hoping to amaze the panel and the audience as they seek a cash prize and a chance to show their skills at the Royal Variety Performance.
Ahead of the premiere, Holden – who appears on the panel alongside Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and newcomer KSI – spoke of the recent set of auditions, sharing that Cowell took part in a particularly “dangerous” stunt.

“I’ve had BGT for days in wonderful Blackpool! But yes, I’m not going to lie, Simon Cowell decided to sort of… well he was involved in an act yesterday is all I’m going to say,” she teased during her breakfast radio show on Heart.
“[It was] so dangerous that I looked at the producers and thought I didn’t know how sensible it was for him to be part of it. The only note Simon was given was ‘don’t move.’ Course he moved because he said he could feel the wind of this – I’m going to say weapon – right by his head
“It was horrible to watch because the act involved a lot of food and a lot of crushing, so the stage was very slippery. So, with any safety measures that may have been put in place, there was risk there because of the sliding floor.

“I just don’t understand – it was mad! But anyway, bearing all of that in mind and, obviously, Simon’s bravery, he then had to go and get changed,” continued the star, who has been an ever-present on the show.
Holden had previously teased a special day from the auditions, sharing that several judges were in a happy mood, saying: “It was a golden day yesterday. You know when you don’t want to be sort of too premature. Three golden buzzers went off yesterday.”
