Get ready for golden buzzers galore this season of “America’s Got Talent.”
The competition is returning to the airwaves for season 19 next week, promising “some of the wildest acts to ever grace the AGT stage.”
This year, each of the celebrity judges will be granted two golden buzzers for use throughout the audition portion of the show, meaning nine acts will have the chance to skip further auditions and go straight to the live shows when they begin later this summer.
These extra golden buzzers were already being put to good use early on, judge and executive producer Simon Cowell told PEOPLE last week. Cowell told the magazine that more golden buzzers “than we’ve ever used” had already been employed within the first two days of filming, something he said has “got to be a good sign!”
